Measure the height of your ceiling, then subtract the total drop of the light fitting. The number you’re left with is your head clearance — this should be a minimum of 2.1m. Anything above that and you’re perfectly proportioned. The Durford semi-flush is designed for standard to low ceilings, so it works well in most UK homes.
