The Pickering takes everything that makes a crystal chandelier so enduring — the faceted glass, the warm brass, the dancing light patterns — and brings it to floor level. At 151cm tall with a 47cm crystal crown, it has the scale and drama of a ceiling fitting, with the flexibility of a floor lamp. Position it beside an armchair, in a corner, or as a focal point in its own right. In a panelled living room or a period hallway, it looks entirely at home.

The cut crystal glass panels are the heart of it. Faceted and clear, they catch and fracture light in shifting patterns across walls and ceilings — more chandelier than floor lamp in spirit, anchored by refined antique brass metalwork below. A clear bobèche glass detail at the base of the shade adds a final layer of craft. This is Art Deco at its most confident: geometry, glamour and light working in unison.

Practical details are handled quietly. An inline foot switch means no switched spur required, and E14 LED compatibility keeps running costs low. Available in brass and nickel, it coordinates with the wider cut glass collection — pendants, semi-flush and wall lights — for a considered scheme throughout.

Our Lighting Designer’s Tip

A chandelier floor lamp like the Pickering is doing two things at once: providing light and acting as a sculptural object. Give it space to do both. Position it where the reflected crystal patterns have a wall or ceiling to play on — a corner behind a sofa, or beside a panelled alcove, works particularly well.

Use a warm white LED bulb at 2700K for the most flattering effect. The cut glass amplifies everything — you don’t need a bright bulb to fill a room with warmth.

Pair with a dimmable E14 bulb to shift from atmospheric evening light to something brighter when needed.
