Wall lights are one of the most underused tools in home lighting design - and one of the most transformative. Where a ceiling light floods a room with general light, a well placed wall light does something far more interesting - it creates layers. 

The golden rule is to think in threes. Combine an overhead light with a floor lamp and a pair of wall lights and suddenly your room has depth, warmth and atmosphere rather than flat brightness. 

Wall lights positioned at around eye level (roughly 150 - 160 cm from the floor) cast the most flattering, ambient glow - perfect for hallways, corridors, living spaces and bedrooms.
